December 2016

Greetings from Robbi

Dear Blossoming Hearted Ones,

Another December already! I adore this time of year. Home means coming home to a safe haven, a space to retreat to and also a place to share with friends and family, where we can stop and rest. And in my case, connecting to our country life and happily pottering away in the garden. Very grounding indeed after a busy year!

As I sit here writing looking out to the rose garden I have such gratitude for each and everyone of you. Connections made in workshops, kind messages, your wonderful feedback, your sharing's and responses have warmed my heart deeply over the year. Thank you for the gift of you!

December is always a good time to reflect on what the year has held for each of us and how we desire to express ourselves in the coming year. The more consciously we are attuned to life, the more easily we can maintain our connection to what truly nourishes us. As the year comes to a close why not make decisions in life that bring you joy and peace. What could be more simple? Or more easily forgotten? Where will you put your energy in 2017?

It was so interesting that the last two Aromatic Kinesiology workshops of the year, held in Auckland and Melbourne had the same Essential Oil Reflection as the group oil to reflect upon. Lemon Myrtle is dynamic and thought provoking and opens you to the idea of embracing leadership within.

Lemon Myrtle Essential Oil Reflection

( Backhousia citriodora )

When you desire to explore leadership issues Lemon Myrtle offers strength, vision and perspective. Often we turn to others for mentoring and coaching. There comes a time in life though when we need to call on our own inner resources and be our own leaders. Imagine being your own CEO. What directives would you give yourself? Lemon Myrtle assists in moving you away from self-doubt and draws upon the resources you already have to access your own leadership resonance. Inner leadership supports you in living an authentic life.

The word doubt creates a provocative acronym:-

Resourcefulness and certainty are important aspects of life. Interestingly, most people are really certain of their doubts. Do not let self-doubt impede your movement through life, for when your thoughts get in the way you can become bogged down, crippled by your own negative self-talk. This has a draining affect on the kidney energy. Be rigorously committed to monitoring your self-talk.

Let Lemon Myrtle lift your mood and create an intention to be your own positive influence. As you discover and express your own voice this will enable you to teach others to find their voice. Leadership always begins within. To inspire means to be in spirit, literally to breathe life into another. Be the inspiration you want to see in the world and remember to always keep the music alive in you.

Blossoming Heart Affirmation

I am a leader and I embrace the work of leadership.

Aromatic Festive Fare

I adore this delicious semi-freddo recipe the perfect aromatic delight to enjoy with your Christmas Pud! Gluten free too if Pud is not your thing.

Ingredients ( serves 10 ):-

3 passionfruit
1 punnet of strawberries
2 handfuls crushed pistachios
2 teaspoons rose water
1 tablespoon icing sugar-sifted
quarter cup sugar
3 free range eggs
560 grams vanilla yoghurt

Extra punnet of strawberries marinated with rose water and a little sugar

Line a loaf tin with plastic cling wrap. Leave enough to hang over the sides to fold over and enclose the semi-freddo.

Spread passion fruit pulp over the base.

Slice strawberries and coarsely puree them through a sieve. Stir in the rose water and then the icing sugar until combined through.

Using an electric beater, beat the eggs and sugar for 5 minutes until pale and thick. Gently stir this mixture through the yoghurt. Pour into the prepared loaf tin.

Gently spoon dollops of the strawberry mixture over the yoghurt and add the crushed pistachios.

It will sink slightly.

Fold the plastic cling wrap over the loaf tin and freeze overnight.

20 minutes before you are ready to serve, transfer your semi-freddo from the freezer to the fridge. This allows it to soften slightly.

Unfold the plastic wrap and turn the semi-freddo out onto a plate. Serve with your Pud and rosewater marinated strawberries.

Voila! Delicious! Happy holidays! Happy Hearts!
